Sugar vs Stevia 🤔

by maria

Sugar is literally everywhere. Even in food we believe is healthy. We tend to think that cereal bars are a nutritious choice, but in fact they are often full of sugar.

Nutritionists and World Health Organization don’t forbid sugar, they state that it is an inseparable part of our diet. However, they highlight that sugar mustn’t exceed 10% of our daily calories.

Can we manage to stay within these limits with all this “hidden” sugar? Could stevia products be a choice?

According to the  European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the U.S.A. the sweetener coming from the plant stevia is safe. It has no calories and is used in many foods, sweets and drinks giving us an alternative to enjoy sweets that we love!😋
